Frequently Asked Questions

Can I turn up for a tour without booking?

Sorry, no. Advance booking is required. Please, note, that owing to third-party obligations booking is closed 24 hours prior to the announced starting time.

Where can I buy tickets?

The only thing you need to do is to send your booking request using our booking form on this website. You will get a confirmation e-mail, no tickets are issued. Advance booking is required.

Are there discounts for children, students, seniors?

The Prelude Tour and the Gypsy Culture Tour are free of charge for children under 14.  For students of ages 14 – 26 with a valid student card a discount applies in the Prelude Tour.

Do you have group discounts?

If you are travelling with a group of 15+, send an enquiry  for a special offer. This arrangement is subject to the number of people and the availability of the necessary number of guides. The arrangement might also mean individual pricing, subject to the number of people and the number of guides needed.

What does the tour fee cover, what is included in the price?

In the PRELUDE TOUR, the fee covers the tour guide and a single metro ticket.

In the GYPSY CULTURE TOUR, the fee covers the tour guide.

Who can come on your tours?

We are open for all age groups. However, we do not recommend the tours for children under 12 (unless they are exceptional musical talents), as the tour might be too tiring and lengthy for them, and the topic perhaps less than ideal for youngsters.

However, if you decide to bring children under 12, please, understand that the guide has the right to ask you to leave the tour at any time should the behaviour of your children be considered to be detrimental to the enjoyment of the tour by other participants (see Terms and Conditions).

Minors (children under 18 in Hungary) must be accompanied by an adult.

The walking tours are not physically demanding. However, you’ll need to be fit enough to walk for around two hours  on relatively flat ground.

If you have symptoms, for the sake of other guests, please consult us in advance, and we will try to arrange a rescheduling or a refund.

Guests with wheel-chairs, please, read the relevant section in this FAQs.

The GYPSY CULTURE TOUR is fully accessible for wheel-chair users.

The PRELUDE TOUR is partly accessible for wheel-chair users, therefore we recommend bringing a helper with you (free of charge). There is a short tube ride in the middle of the tour; however, regretfully the metro stations are not accessible by wheel-chair. As a solution we can organise a taxi to take you to the next spot.  Please inform us in advance of any such needs!

For our guests with hearing aids we provide an over-the-ear headphone free of charge.
