Prices and Payment
A full description of our tours and pricing can be found on the relevant page of this website (Book tour). You pay at the time of the online booking either by card (either through PayPal or by regular online payment) or bank transfer. Owing to third-party obligations booking is closed 24 hours prior to the starting time of each tour. Payment in cash is not accepted. Groups >15 people must be paid at least 10 days in advance. Pricing of all customised tours, and individual requests is unique and subject to mutual agreement between the parties.
Cancellation and Refund
Please note that while every attempt is made to operate the tours according to published details, we reserve the right to change the departure and return points, and operation times with a written notification sent to the e-mail address provided at the booking provided the reason for the change or cancellation occurs at least 12 hours prior to the announced start of the tour.
You may cancel your booking on a regularly scheduled tour any time up to 72 hours prior to the scheduled date with a full refund to the card number given at the payment. Cancellation between 24-72 hours prior to the scheduled date will mean a 50% refund. Please, note, that any refund will incur an administrative charge which must be borne by you. In the case of a cancellation occurring 24 hours prior to the scheduled date will mean no refund. Subject to a mutual agreement, the cancellation fee may be applied as a credit towards a rescheduled booking.
In the case of cancellation by us for circumstances foreseen (any actions by the police, transport or health authorities, strike, extreme weather (inclement weather or heat-waves), full refunds will be arranged or rescheduled booking might be offered.
Monetary refunds are not given in the event of force majeure resulting in not being able to either complete a tour, or for a tour running late, due to unforeseen circumstances such as demonstrations, protests, or events not announced 24 hours in advance, or actions by the police or other authorities that might cause road closure inhibiting the guide to take the group to all spots, or by health authority actions. In case less than 80% of the tour spots could have been visited vouchers for use on another tour date will be offered, or a refund.
During the tour
It is your responsibility to be at the meeting point in an appropriate condition for a walking tour and at the time shown on your booking confirmation to join the tour (preferably 10 minutes before). In case you have a medical condition that the guide must be aware of, please indicate when booking. By accepting the terms and conditions on the Booking Form on the Bookings Page, means that you understand the nature of the walking tours, that it may involve physical activity. You are responsible for being in good health and in proper physical condition to participate in this activity.
In the event of your not being at the point of departure by the time of the start of the tour, you will be regarded as a “no-show” and lose your payment in full. No refunds will be given. Should you arrive at the departure point late and decide to try to catch up with the tour on route, it will be at your own risk and MBS Bt. will not bear any costs that might occur.
All tour participants explicitly agree to follow any advice or instruction given to them by the tour guide. MBS Bt. accepts no responsibility for damages, loss, or injuries in case a participant denies to follow the guide’s instructions.
All participants are expected to behave in a manner not limiting the enjoyment of the tour by other participants. The guide will ask those whose behaviour is considered to be detrimental to the enjoyment of the tour by other participants to immediately leave the tour without claiming a refund.
We do not recommend the tour for children under 12. However, if you bring children under 12, the guide will have the right to ask you to leave the tour at any time should the behaviour of the children be considered to be detrimental to the enjoyment of the tour by other participants.
Minors (children under 18 in Hungary) must be accompanied by an adult.
Children under 14 are free of charge, for students of ages 14 – 26 with a valid student card a discount applies (except for the Liszt&Wine Tour). The guide will have the right to check the relevant documents and verify your status for the discount. Helpers accompanying a person with a special need are free of charge but they must register on-line by buying a helper’s (0 HUF) ticket.
Participants should be dressed properly, no claims are accepted if any damage, injury, or illness happens for the reason of improper dressing.
All tours are non-smoking and we ask the participants to refrain from drinking alcohol during the tour (except for the wine tasting part, where minors under 18 are not allowed to drink or to be served any alcohol).
MBS Bt. accepts no responsibility for the quality of the coffee, tea, non-alcoholic beverages, and cake consumed during the paid coffee break, this is the responsibility of the provider. All meal intolerances, allergies must be reported in advance.
Pets are not allowed.
MBS Bt. accepts no responsibility for any injuries, accidents, and incidents sustained during the tour.
Lost or damaged items: should you lose an item on the tour, every attempt will be made to return this to you but no claim can be made on MBS Bt. in respect of any loss.
If you are an Agent who is booking places for the Hungarian Rhapsodies Classical Music Walking Tours Budapest on behalf of other individuals or groups, you must have a duly authorisation, and you must accept that the Terms and Conditions apply to you as well. You bear the responsibility for the booking, for the payment, and for the behaviour of the individuals you are representing.

Many guests and guides share their tour photos, videos, and thank you messages. Guests agree that these authentic travel memories may be used in the promotional materials of the Hungarian Rhapsodies Classical Music Walking Tours Budapest’s website (budapestmusictours.com or hungarianrhapsodies.hu) and/or on social media platforms. Any individual wishing their image not be included, please advise us in advance in writing.
